How much does graphic design cost? At Wrkm8s we operate on an hourly basis. We’re happy to quote for individual jobs which will be based on how long we feel the job is going to physically take. We work as closely as we can to our quotes and if for any reason any issues or changes arise that are likely to affect the amount of hours we need, we keep you informed at all times. Alternatively, if you have a budget, we’ll be clear and positive about what we can achieve for you within it. To take a brief we can come to visit you or receive instructions over the phone or email.

Logo design for start-up company
We usually request one full working day to develop several approaches to a logo design. After an initial conversation we’ll start to flesh out some ideas based on what you tell us. Presuming we have found a direction that you’re happy with, we’d expect to do some further development and you'd be entitled to one full set of authors amends which are free of charge. On completion we prepare a set of final files that can be used across various types of media. You would receive a folder with all of these media-ready files which you would own all of the rights to.

Business Cards
For preparing artwork for business cards, depending on how many people you need them for, we’d expect to spend about half a day designing the cards and getting them back to you for amends or approval. You’d get a full set of authors amends free of charge and when signed off, we supply the print ready artwork. If you don’t have a print supplier we have our own preferred suppliers who are able to give us quotes for your print quickly. These quotes aren’t included in the price for artwork.

Simple flyer
A flyer is a common way to promote a business or an event. This is a document of portable size which contains a limited amount of information on a single sheet. We would expect to spend half a day designing a flyer. You’d get a full set of authors amends free of charge and when signed off, we supply the print ready artwork. Printing of flyers would be an added cost, and for these items the VAT on print is zero rated.

Simple static html website
A static html website is probably the quickest way to achieve a presence on the web. Based around five or six pages, your static html website will be bespoke, well branded and professional looking. It’ll contain lots of useful information and content about your business and it will be visible to search engines. This type of website is not content managed which means that future changes to the site can only be made by someone who is happy working with html. The sites functionality will be limited, so if you’re after a blog on your site or you want to sell products via the web, this solution is not for you.

Content managed website (CMS)
Websites with a content management system are more complicated to create and therefore more expensive but they offer a potentially unlimited amount of options and are incredibly versatile. With a CMS in place you will be able to administer the content in your site, adding and editing information, updating a regular blog which is integrated into your website and even uploading video if that’s what you need.
There are so many options to be considered here that we would need to establish exactly what it is you need before we can give an idea of cost or lead times. In it’s most basic form, for a CMS website you can expect to spend around...
