Recently we've been working closely with Symphony Coatings Group, a national company which specialises in the supply of paint and finishes to the trade. One of our assignments was to develop a cost-effective e-commerce website for their division which manufactures traditional wood finishing products.
Because Marrable & Co are a relatively small operation within the group, the website needed to be affordable, easy-to-use and it needed to encourage an increase in orders without tying up admin hours.
We opted to use Drupal as the CMS for the site as it is free to use and is widely supported by it's developer community. We then integrated the Ubercart module which is also free (like all Drupal modules) and that provided us with our shop and order admin system.
All in all the project has been a valuable experience for Wrkm8s and for our client. We'll continue to monitor, adjust and promote the site – in the meantime if you have an interest in carpentry (or Drupal based sites) why not go and have a look at Marrable Direct and try ordering a bottle of woodstain!
